DREW BLEDSOE
MCFARLANE’S SPORTS PICKS: NFL FOOTBALL SERIES 13
Paint: original paint
Scale: 6-inch
Format: action figure
Packaging: clamshell
The quarterback for "America's Team" heads into the 2006 season with something to prove. After last year's disappointing season, the Cowboys made a major transition on offense, bringing in talented but troubled wideout Terrell Owens. Despite causing the occasional headache, Owens is one of the best receivers in the league, and his presence should make Bledose's life easier. Bledsoe's career doesn't always get the respect it deserves -- in his 13 seasons he's surpassed legends like Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, Johnny Unitas and Boomer Esiason for 7th place on the all-time passing yardage list.

When asked about his mobility-
"When one of these running quarterbacks wins the Super Bowl, then I think that'll be a lot more valid."- Drew Bledsoe 2/23/05

Are you sure that is not actually Bledsoe himself? He looks to be moving at about the same rate of speed as Bledsoe moves in real time.

Wouldn't it be better for sales if they picked a player that more fans identified as a true Cowboy... like RW, TNew, JJ, DWare .
I mean Bledsoe is ok and all.. but I wouldn't buy his Jersey.. or an action figure.. even if it is a McFarlane. I know we are in the world of Free Agency, but there is still some soak time required before the players are fully entrenched in the team IMO

I agree it is way past time for a Jason Witten, or a Newman figure.

Granted, the silver and blue don't sing the same tune to me, but I think those uniforms are the best looking ones Dallas has ever worn.

Seems that more people would be willing to spend their cash on players that everyone recognizes as part of that team, eternally connected. Bledsoe has been a Cowboy for one season, hardly what I would consider a Cowboy.
Its all about the throwback series.
I dont own any of these things but they are kinda cool. Everytime I see a thread about these things, I always think of the pizza commercial, where the guys are watching HSN and they are running out of time.

He's already done, Aikman, Smith, Sanders, Roy Williams, and Julius Jones.
Personally, I like it and will buy one.

These are great collectibles. And for the record, these are NOT toys...
They are ACTION FIGURES!!!!
Low investment for a potential BIG return in the future!

Playing for America's Team is the greatest because there's nothing like it. But at the same time, it brings a lot of different things – different personalities and different people evaluating you. ... You've got to go back just outworking people. Nobody's going to give us anything. We understand that, and we can't allow what's outside to interfere with what we do. - Jason Witten (1/29/2009, Dallas Morning News)
