Default DMN Blog: Romo the next Favre?

Romo the next Favre?

Made you look!

Tony Romo just showed up for practice in a No. 4 jersey. Everyone standing near him is laughing, so I'm thinking this is something Bill Parcells made him do.

Romo, who hails from a smalltown in Wisconsin, idolizes Favre. In fact, he's been known to sidearm balls like his hero, which doesn't please Parcells.
Not sure if kicker Shaun Suisham will get his jersey back.

I hate it when people compare Romo to Favre. He's much more like Unitas.

That's the second time you've made me laugh out loud today!

The first was your line about the Henson leper colony.

Keep it up, you're on a roll!

Why was Romo wearing No. 4?

Quarterback Tony Romo said he was duped into wearing No. 4 in Thursday afternoon's practice by veteran guard Marco Rivera.

Romo, who grew up idolizing Packers quarterback Brett Favre, said Rivera switched out the jerseys before practice, and that he didn't realize it until someone said something to him on the practice field.

"I caught a lot of flak," said Romo, "but I'll get Marco back."

Rivera and Favre played together in Green Bay for years, and he knows about Romo's devotion to Favre.

If the guy ever catches on here, that phrase is going to be rampant.

Jets fans already refer to their beloved head coach as Mangina.

A Offensive lineman stat...How many sacks given up. Think Rivera would give up less sacks with Romo than Bledsoe ? Who would you rather block for ?
Be excellent to each other....

And in other related news newly acquired QB Matt Baker decided not switch Drew Henson's No.7 jersey that after discovering that it was worn by former Dallas QB Chad Hutchinson.
