06 draft = no o-lineman
You guys want to rethink these now or later?
It is worth mentioning now I believe.
Carp= not yet b/c I think we needed good depth at LB
Fasano=Oline pick
Hatcher=Oline pick
Green=Oline pick

Well TE's split their time between the line and the skills guys at practice. They are blocking a large percentage of the time.

TE is an o-line position.
C, G, T, and TE are the O-line positions.
Any fan who knows anything will tell you that.

Fasano sure is playing like an O-lineman!
The guy's not even a factor in the passing game.
He had one pass thrown in his direction while in heavy coverage.
If that's all he was drafted for (which I don't think is the case), it was a poor draft choice.
"I don't understand it Stephen, it's opening day 2014, where is everybody?"

Wouldn't be playing now anyway. Just dumb.
By the way, we got the Hotels replacement already on the team in McQ.
And Proctor is apparently the guy that will replace Rivera. So what is the point of drafting any one high now?
Gurode has shown finally that he is a real center. Columbo is doing well and improving. Up till now Kosier was doing pretty good as well. One not so good game is no reason to give up on him. So frankly your whole thread is without logic.

ice, as usual you seem to have a little trouble with the facts. Which are as follows: There was no one we could have gotten that had any chance of starting now. ALso, JJ and MB have done as good a job as any backs have at picking up blitzes- sure they are going to whiff now and then- who doesn't?But then that would not fit into your agenda would it? Sorry to spoilt it with a few facts.

bum - as usual you see your POV and the rest is crap.
JJ did a good job of picking up the blitz? now that i missed.
if i were to subscribe to your world of thought then mired in average would be ok to me. i don't - so the mired in average sucks.
i'm sorry i expect more than you do - but keep your agenda crap to yourself.

great, so a 6th round draft pick who looks like he played too much 'deliverance' as a kid in the mountains is going to replace flo. 1st of all that's not proven, just speculation in as much as henson is gonna replace "vet to be named later" any minute now. let's let it happen before we haul off and do the happy dance.
2nd - people refusing to put quality into the line either via draft OR FA will continue to see patchwork results like we have now. if we had a more mobile qb this would have *some* merit. but we don't and Bp isn't gonna change that. he knew his boys limitations long ago and didn't do enough to protect him. see yesterdays HOLY HELL look on his face the whole game as a point of reference.
our OL sucks. you can LA LA LA it away all you want but it still sucks.

Keep blaming the Oline.
Or you could try watching the game.
Hint: 7 sacks does not automatically = bad Oline play.
Although, it will give those with an axe to grind about the Oline venue to complain, like they knew this was coming. Because 3 sacks in 3 games combined with one of the league's best running games was certainly giving them no ammo up to this point.

you miss my ragging on jjones for missing the blitz quite frequently?
the line had done better than i thought they would to date, but we've still got 12 games to go and the 1 good team that came through here to date didn't even stop to tell them hello yeterday - they went straight for drew.

And having a statue behind a crappy line doesn't help either. At least if Mcnabb's protection brekas down he can take one step and deliver.
So can Peyton, Eli, Leftwich, Leinart, Brees, Rivers, Palmer
do I need to continue?

The only logic is 3 of our first 4 picks are useless and our line sucks. Maybe one or 3 of those picks could have been a lineman. At least the hole between TO and TG would have been addressed.

Exactly who could we have drafted that would be starting now? Hint: There isn't one!
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
