Let's pass the hat
Maybe if we collected enough cash, we could offer it to ESPN to get their "B" crew of Nessler, Jaworski and Vermeil to do Monday night's game.
Seriously, I wonder how much it would take?
Would $20 million do the trick? If we get a donation from everyone who can't stand the current announcers, that's less than a penny a person.
Maybe we could kick in a little extra so they wouldn't have an entire quarter ruined by an interview with some "celebrity" who has nothing to do with football.

I don't give a damn, seeing as I have class on Monday nights at 7pm central this semester (wasn't my fault, it was the only time slot available for a mandatory class)
So yeah... can't say I'm not too pissed about having to miss the game

The better avenue is be heard. Start an e-mail petition or a website with that demand as the URL.

I could definately record the game, but class would finish before it was over and so I'd have to wait for the game to end before I could watch it, which would be weird...
not to mention I'd have to issue a complete order of silence on the members of the household to not speak a word of the game when I got home
dammit, I'll record it.

MNF needs to go back to ABC with the old Madden crew. By Sunday evening, I'm footballed out, why I never watched Theeeeeesman.
Now I have to put up with Thudsman this Monday.
WAIT! I have The Ticket and Brad Sham to listen to play-by-play. Happy dayzzzz

The only thing ESPN, or any network for that matter, cares about is cash.
Their ratings are never going to be horrible because there's a large segment of the population who are going to watch the game no matter who is announcing.
Watching the NFL is better when the mute button's not on though.
Besides, no offense, but online petitions are a joke. I'd be hard pressed to find a single occurence of one changing anything.
The demise of MNF started the day that Disney bought ABC. The suits decided that we watch the game for the entertainment aspects not the football aspects and this has carried over to ESPN.

man you nailed that one.
I could give a damn about entertainers when I'm watching FOOTBALL. If I want to hear that crap, I'll wip out the IPod.

Bingo. I posted a few weeks ago about hearing Kornheiser even say that... That only fans of the two teams involved actually cared about the football game, and they had to try to "entertain" everyone else.
How does the network think the franchise got so big to begin with, back before they had any of this ridicuous hype?
I'll be watching the game with Brad Sham's audio this Monday. (And I'd listen to the radio every Monday except that Marv Albert drives me nuts for some reason. )

You did the visual of Marv announcing a game in his Little School Girl and Panty hose outfit getting spanked too, huh?

I unfortunately have DirecTV so radio audio doesn't match with the video.

hey Stanley, I have it too. Seems The Ticket is doing some buffering of the radio audio to match the video. It may start out off, but after one or two commercial breaks, it's pretty darn close. Give it a shot
