Geez, if we stay on this pace and finish up 8-8 and only get the 17th pick, I'm gonna be pretty mad.

Consdiering jackson did not play with the bucs, its pretty much true that no team that ever had back to back #1's ever did well. Looking at that entire list, not one of those players were ever worth a #1. But then the reason why those teams were picking at that position was that they stunk from the field to the front office as those picks showed.

Here's a trivia question.
The Cowboys have had 3 overall #1 draft picks. Who are they?
They would have had a 4th overall #1 draft pick but the pick was "voided." Why?

Bo was definately worth the overall # 1 and I think Jay Berwanger was too.

Aikman was one; I think Lilly was another; maybe TD for the third?

Cannot judge Berwanger since he never played pro ball; Jackson - I don't know. His career was pretty short.

Bob Lilly was the 13th pick of 1961, Tony Dorsett was the 2nd overall behind Ricky Bell of USC to Tampa to play for his college coach.

bo jackson was a beast and one of if not the fastest guy ever in the NFL. He ran a 4.16 if memory serves me, Bo was worth a few first round picks in my opinion, Can't speak on Berwanger I wans't even an itch in my grand daddies pants back then.

Maryland is correct.
So we have Troy and Maryland answered. Who is the 3rd and why was the 4th "voided?"
I know someone knows these.

Not arguing that Bo was not a beast- but remember how few years he played. Russel Maryland is the guy I forgot. I think TD was actually a #2.
