Justin did himself a lot of good here... he came in lighter, after criticisms about his weight... he put up 40 reps, tied for best among the offensive linemen... then he runs a 5.1 40, after the expectations were that he'd run in the 5.25 range...
Now he's got it all, the college resume and the workout numbers...

Won't happen. The Cowboys just don't draft o-linemen in the first round--not even stud tackles, let alone guards.

I hate the idea of an Olineman in the 1st, much less a freakin' OG, but if we have to take Blalock, I would be okay w/ it, not real excited, but I wouldn't bash the pick, he's an athlete at a position of need

But I think we may be able to move down a few slots, pick up an extra draft choice, and still get Blalock, if that's who we're targeting.
But my first preference is for someone who can get pressure on a QB. As much as I hope Ellis is back, I just don't think we can count on him.

Just a few questions, only one sarcastic.
Is anybody worried that he has to make the switch from tackle to guard? Didn't he get some time at guard in the senior bowl SilverBear?
Why didn't I see big Mike Williams, 4th overall pick cut from Buffalo and Jacksonville, on that list Biggems?

While Blalock has playe some tackle, he's primarily played guard.

Still could fall to us! Sign Steinbach, draft Blalock and our line could look like this:
LT - Flozell
LG - Kosier
OC - Gurode
RG - Steinbach
RT - Blalock (R)
or
LT - Steinbach
LG - Kosier
OC - Gurode
RG - Blalock (R)
RT - Flozell

And for my part, there will be enough good guards and centers on the board in the second round, perhaps even in the third, that I won't get bent out of shape if the
Boys look elsewhere in the first round...
I want a good interior lineman on the first day of the draft, and I don't care if his name is Justin Blalock, Ben Grubbs, Manny Ramirez, Samson Satele or Kyle Young... actually, I think right now, I'd prefer one of the center/guard combos on that list, Satele or Young... this would give Gurode the competent backup that the Boys need...
