I think we should go WR in round 1 though, the sheer amount of talent in this year's draft at the position should make the 22nd pick have WR as the BPA and it will be a need very soon... if not this year with an injury or two.
After today, I really like that kid also. I didn't really know anything about him before. Even my wife said "man he looks fast" when he ran his 40. He'd look good with a star.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

What were his Combine results?

He is the WR I like best after Calvin Johnson.

4.39, 37.5 vert and 11.3 long shuttle.

We may not have a chance to get him which is fine by me.

Very nice numbers. Kid is going to rise up Draft boards now. Shucks. Would have been nice, though I doubt we're looking WR in round 1.

Well I graduated from Carolina and watch as many games as I can including still going some. So yes I've seen him since his first year and have pretty good inside knowledge of him.

I'd spend a first round pick on him if I needed a WR which we don't. I wouldn't pick him in the top ten but would start thinking about him 15 and lower.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

Do we need him at 22??? I wouldn't. WR's without ability to separate from CB's are not worth a 1st.
so where does it say if you run a 4.7 40 you can't get seperation? how fast was irvin?

You'd be amazed at the statistics they have on historical picks. For example, you can take a hypothetical 6'2, 210 wide reciever that ran a 4.6 and the scouts can give you percentages of rounds those guys are taken, career stats, etc. Sure there are outliers like Boldin or Colston, but these guys are in the business of playing the percentages hitting on 7 out of 10 guesses.
