Default Sig Tutorial

heres a tutorial to show you how easy it really is. some people think you have to have 30 layers for a sig not to look like it was just rushed. but thats not the case. you just have to pick the right types of images and a little imagination.

i'll show you how easy it is to make this

step 1
make your canvas, i usually use 400x120. fill it with a radius gradient. i usually use a dark color and a lighter version of the color. i used blue

step 2
get a c4d, that can be gotten on www.deviantart.com or any game render site. and paste it on the sig as a new layer. posistion it at a place you like that will go with the flow of the sig. u decide what flows.

i chose this c4d
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y16...chaos-ffx3.png

and i got this result after i set the layer property to luminosity, and set the opacity to 25%

step 3
make a new layer. then click on image and then on apply image. that will paste the image you have already which is step 2 outcome. set this layer to overlay and leave at 100% opacity.

next click on image again, then go to adjustments and scroll down to brightness/contrast. set it to -18 brightness and +53 contrast

step 4
get your render and insert itin a posistion you feel you like. and make 3 duplicates so u have a total of 4 renders. hide the 3 duplicates under layer 1 so u only have 1 render visible.

click on image, then adjustments and scroll to desaturate and click. that will make your render black and white.

then again go to image, then adjustments and click on brightness/contrast. now pictures vary on brightness and quality so u mess with the amount of brightness and contrast you want. mine looked good with -8 brightness +41 contrast.

step 5
bring up one of the duplicates and set the later to softlight and leave at 100% opacity.

step 6
bring up another duplicate and set it to hue at 100%

step 7
bring the last duplicate and it to linear dodge at 59% opacity

step 8
next create a new layer and do another gradient, doesnt matter what kind, u chose. and pick to colors from the render. then go from left to right. next set the layer to color at 65% opacity. then erase part over the render with a soft brush(those are the circle brushes with faded edges, can be found in basic bush pack). set the opacity of the brush on the lght side as you dont want to erase much of the color over the background as that color is matched to the render.

step 9
take another c4d, and insert it under the last render layer. set to linear dodge and leave it 100% opacity. erase whatever parts you dont like.

step 10
create a new layer and again go to image and then add image. click on filter, then blur and click on motion blur. set it to its strongest strength. and then set the layer to color dodge at 64% opacity, and erase with a soft brush and light opacity over the render.

step 11
last step add text and a border if you like. usually i add borders.

you're done
