to the board!

Enjoy!!!!!!

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

If we come out of the first round without taking a CB, someone has got explaining to do.

why? we might be trading for a proven one and further, there are alot of talented CB's to take in the 2nd, 3rd and even 4th rd area

That is however a very likely scenario - interesting that they've got us with Phillips -- the draft board at DB that is making the rounds has us liking him big time (3rd DB on the board). In that context, it would be a good pick

Got that right.

There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

It was definitely a BPA pick given the board and yet Phillips could definitely contribute to the 'boys in meaningful ways.

Have you guys heard how there are reports that Malcolm Kelly is receiving a "DND" grade from a lot of teams because he's has major problems with his knees? That was a shocker!

Phillips at #22 is a good solid pick.....Devin Thomas is a risk, but has big time upside so I wouldn't mind him either.

Overall that would be a A- first round for me.

Kenny Phillips is projected to be able to play either Corner or Safety in the NFL. That pick would be awesome on so many levels!

Not when the Pacman deal is pretty much a done deal, besides we have TWO starters for next year as we speak, all we need is a very good 3rd corner which could be had in round 2.
Assuming we get Pacman, and the top 4 Corners are off the board, makes PERFECT SENSE to go for Phillips, if Roy pans our (which I doubt) we don't have to overpay Hamlin, if Roy doesn't pan out, we have a great safety duo in Phillips and Hamlin the next 6 years.
I like the Thomas pick at #28 also, prototytpical #1 Wideout.
We could go r.B. in round 2 and then go C.B. in round 3 and 4 to get some much needed depth.
