On a different note though, the one thing I give Emmit credit for is that he knew how to take advantage of his great situation.

If Curtin Martin was really all about his career, he could have demanded a trade years ago to play for Denver, Miami Tampa or some other team like that. The better weather and system would have probably kept him a lot younger. But the way the guy pounds the ball between the tackles every year, I can't see the guy excelling beyond two more years especially at 31 years of age.

I really question the common sense some of these great athletes had like Barry Sanders and Karl Malone. Why the heck would you stick with a team that is realistically not going to win a championship.

Call me selfish but if I was any of these players, I would have pulled a Shaquille O'neal or a Corey Dillon and jumped to a team that could have given me a chance to get a ring and some easier production because of a better supporting cast.
