I think if Parcells brings a winner here he may be a candidate when Parcells retires. If Parcells fails I suspect Jerry will look in a completely different direction.

If Dallas needs to replace him as offensive coordinator, I hope they bring in someone well qualified. Someone who can call the plays and create a cohesive offense. They seem to be using the group think approach recently, and all that has produced is ineffective output on that side of the ball. Bill should hand over the reigns to a respected offensive mind.

Bringing in some ex-player with no coaching experience is lunacy. If they want an internship to learn the ropes of coaching, fine. Bring in a qualified replacement for the title of offensive coordinator. Now that signing day has passed, I'm sure there are a myriad of options in the college ranks (as well as several good candidates at the NFL level).
I doubt we will bring in a new OC, Sean Payton will take the title since he has been the OC for the passing game all along anyway and he has experience as an OC. This move will just consolidate the position. David Lee will likely take the QB coach position since he has been working with the QB's along with Payton all along.

Bringing in Richie Anderson as a RB coach is not a bad idea; he has the temperment and the experience to do the job. He is largely credited with mentoring Julius Jones into the type of player he was late in the year and he would be an excellent RB coach. Of course there is no way that we would bring him in as the OC to take all of Carthons duties; he is too inexperienced for it and I don't think anyone is suggesting that.

No big deal, Carthon was brought in to be a RB coach and be BP's enforcer that first year. Sean Payton, love or hate is the OC, yeah maybe BP calls the play, but I think Payton has his hands all over the offense and gameplan. He is the next OC in title, maybe in playcalling also. Good Luck Mo!!!

Why don't we wait to see whether Richie retires or not before annointing him as the RB coach? I could see Richie in a player-coach scenario, where he serves as an offensive assistant to the RB coach, but still plays. Regardless, I'd like a professional RB coach developing our young RBs.

Like Spags wrote in his yesterday's column, that's why Pasquoloni's (sp?) role has yet to be defined. Because he's been a HC, no matter how effective or ineffective as some of you think, he can probably coach any position.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Mo Carthon
Dallas RB coach and Running game plan collaborator/ consultant gets a HUGE opportunity to actually be an Offensive Coordinator.
Parcells never showed that ultimate faith in him. Called in Sean Payton to do most of the game planning and passing analysis. Is that lack of trust attributable to Mo's ability or was it really because Mo did a lot of Parcells dirty work and BP liked to keep it that way. We're going to find out now.
Bellicheck is said to have felt that Parcells tried to keep him down. Despite the fact that Mo is probably grateful for the opportunities he received from Parcells in the first place, I wonder if he hasn't grown similar animosities as previously un-foreseen confinements became undeniable.
With Crinell and Mo there, we can all be assured of one thing. It's going to be one tough hard-nosed team.

"Hey Winslow, Green. Come up here and meet your new OC...."

I hope Mo has incredible success.

I'd love to see how Mo treats Winslow, Green, Bryant (!) when he gets there.

Oh I agree that if Richie wants to play another year and can pass the physical then we have to find another coach unless BP is comfortable with a player coach (ala Dan Reeves) for the position. However, with him having a neck injury affecting his spinal column and at his age the smart thing to do would be to retire while he can still walk. I think he would make a good coach and if BP is his friend he will offer him the RB coaching job to give him incentive to retire. I don't want to see him end up laying motionless on the floor of the Linc unable to move with 75,000 lower lifeforms booing him.

As for Pasquoloni; you might note that as soon as he was hired Jim Jeffcoat was fired. Pasquoloni will be coaching on the defense (likely the D-Line) due to his familiarity with the 3-4 scheme. I wouldn't look for him to be on the offensive side of the ball.

How could I have forgotten Bryant
I wonder if he's worried about... in front of all his new friends?

I agree Jack, Anderson would be wise to retire while he has his health...While a good leader, he was NEVER a good blocker...

A real FB is a must...Barnes SUCKS and is as bad a blocker as Anderson was...Polite at least looked big & tough, we need a vast improvement at that position!

I also agree The new Cuse coach will be most used on D...
Where zimmy should just resign... He might be able to match wits with some Pee Wee coaches...and 5-9 LBers might actually be good there...
