Default Parents of 'American Taliban' ask Bush to free him

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The parents of American-born Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh are asking President George W. Bush to set their son free before Bush leaves office next month.

Lindh was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2002 to serving in the Taliban army, which violated U.S. economic sanctions against Afghanistan at that time.
At a news conference in San Francisco Wednesday, Lindh's mother, Marilyn Walker, asked the president to show mercy during the Christmas season by commuting her son's sentence.
Lindh initially asked for a commutation in 2004 and his lawyers have renewed the request each year. The U.S. Department of Justice has never acted on the petition and a spokeswoman didn't immediately return a telephone call.

Don't cry now about your son, if you would have raised your little Jihadi right he wouldn't have been somewhere he was not supposed to be. This little **** got Mike Spann killed. He's lucky he is still alive. Parents can't save you now. Guess its finally time someone made you take responsibility for your actions.

I agree. I understand parents standing up for their kid but he was not a child when he choose to get involved with the Taliban.

Maybe the president can commute his life sentence in favor of the electric chair, complementary popcorn for his lap, I hear every kernel pops.

There are two people far more important to be pardoned/ sentences commuted by Bush:

Border agents Ramos and Compean.
Do it Mr President...it's the right thing to do,have them home with their families by Christmas.

Was it that short? Then he damn well isn't getting a pardon and there may well be vigilantes waiting at the prison gates for his departure.

Agree 100%. Sadly, he's not going to pardon them.

I'd also like to see a pardon for Maryland police officer Stephanie Mohr, who is serving 10 years for "civil rights violations" because her police canine bit an illegal immigrant drug dealer.

Non sense like that plus what's going on in politics and economics are going to trigger a revolution.

I guess when you call yourself "pro-life", you're only referring to the unborn...

I'll put it this way, in cases of rape its not the child that needs killing.
