Default Mock ReDux

Here is the second and probably last mock from your truly, look forward to your responses:

This could change of course if the Boys were to lose Austin, but otherwise I looked at shoring up the middle of the defense as well as the oline.

51.William Beatty--OT: I would like the boys to draft Delmas, but the reality is he will probably be gone by 51. Beatty's best traits are athleticisim and intangibles...wish he was a little more physical, but overall a solid football player and Flo isn't getting any younger.

69.Darry Beckwith--MLB--Middle of the field needs to be addressed and I think this guy is just the type of player to replace Brooking next season.Has all the intangibles and just enough size for the middle. I also like Brinkley, but this guy is the safer choice.

101.David Bruton--FS--Again addressing middle of the field. All the tools and intangibles to be a very good pro....if he had better hands would probably be a first rounder. Great special teams player.

117.Brandon Tate--WR--Could be another Reggie Wayne. Not very physical, but a good kid with excellent athleticism. I think he would make for great value here.

156.Stephen McGee--QB--He just seems like he should be a Cowboy. Perfect pick in that he is raw and needs to be coached up which he'll have plenty of time to do in Dallas.

166.Sammie Lee Hill-NT--Massive....which is exactly what Wade needs to spot Rat in the middle of the defense.

172.Louis Vasquez-OG-Mean, tough and large....perfect fit for Houck's style of OL. Great leader.

197.Lee Robinson--OLB--Another high character guy with very good athletic ability. Provides depth at OLB as well as the type to translate to a solid ST player.

208.Edwin Williams--C--Great kid, very productive in college and a nice backup to Gurode.

210.Don Carey--CB--Competes and could suprise with solid set of physical/mental tools.

227.Captain Munnerlyn--CB--Will compete with Carey as the fifth corner.Highly productive college player who dropped because of average combine.

Love the bottom half of your draft, from McGee down. McGee is actually starting to climb, had him ranked as a low second day until recently, you may now have to switch him w/Tate.

I was thinking that as well, McGee is a wildcard in that he can go anywhere from 3-7 in this draft....so I just settled at five as the place where he would provide good value.

Even though he came out and said he wanted to be a Cowboy, a lot of teams are looking at him. He's raw from a technique standpoint, but his toughness & athleticism are too enticing.
