Default Question about trades

Say Dallas wants to trade one of it's first round picks to Green Bay for McKenzie. Since they don't know where the picks are going to fall do they say we will give you you oour pick or Buffalo's pick or do they specify the position like we will give you the higherst or the lowest of the two picks? Just wondering because I think either he or Ty Law is coming to Dallas and would guess that if it is McKenzie we would have to give up a one from what all the reports say that GB wants.

i think we could do either. we could specify either our pick, or buffalo's pick, or we could specify whichever was later.

I would not give up a first for either of them.

Green Bay had interest in Hutchinson, so Hutch and a 4th for McKenzie, I'd be okay with.

I don't see the Cowboys trading one of their first round picks for Mckenzie because I believe the reports about Parcells wanting to give Hunter a chance to start. If Hunter doesn't pan out then next year, they select a CB with one of their first round picks. If Hunter does pan out then they have the luxury of using that pick for another position like DT, WR, DE, or Safety. That really is the smart move when you think about it. If the Cowboys do sign anyone, I think it will be Law because he is one of Parcells' guys and he would only play CB for one or two seasons before shifting over to FS and giving Hunter more time to develop.

i agree, although i could see us signing another donald mitchell type, to give us some more veteran experience and depth.
