Default My Final Dallas Mock

Trade: 5th (156), 5th (166), 7th (227) for a late 4th rounder

#51: Clint Sintim, OLB Virginia
-I think it's clear we want Ellis out of town ASAP. I think a run on safeties, WRs and TEs means someone like Sintim (maybe even Laurainitis) falls to us, and we NEED to take them. I think some potential Jerry picks are Loadholt or Duke Robinson.

#69 James Casey, TE Rice
-I hate this, but I think it's inevitable.

#101 Jairus Byrd, CB/FS Oregon
-We'll play him where we need him--might need to move to FS, though.

#117 Mike Thomas, WR Arizona
-He might go before here, but someone like Deon Butler might be an option.

#Late 4th: Chris Baker, DT Hampton

#172 Worrell Williams, LB California
-This is more of a "Well it's what I would do..." pick.

#197 Marlon Favorite, DT LSU

#208 Londen Fryar, CB Western Michigan

#210 Cedric Dockery, G Texas

Sintim does look really good... I just think Parcells, Belichick, or Pioli take him first. Maybe even McDaniels, Mangini, or Green Bay. Too many Groh/Parcells related guys and new 34 Ds out there. He's one of the few who have playing 34 OLB already, and he has great size which of course Parcells covets.
Ivy League

Jason Garrett offense rank minus Tony Sparano: 18, 14, 7, 15, 15

Where's Jason Williams? Or are you projecting Sintim inside? Ah, you went w/Worrell Williams instead I see.

The wrong Williams. Worrell is tough, but limited. Kind of like Bradie James in terms of athleticism just more intangibles and less height.

I was suprised to see Worrell in your mock, I don't think I've seen his name since my mock back in January. I really like this kid. He saw that the team lacked a vocal leader, so he took it upon himself. In one game, with only a 30 seconds or so left he was still yelling at the backups on the sidelines to finish it out strong. He times and shoots the gaps well in blitzes and making tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The downside is that he's probably the shortest ILB in the draft and plays a little too agressive.

That's the best thing about Worrell's game, he's tough as nails and an in your face leader, but he can't cover very well. He would be a better fit backing up James.

I would rather take Hodge or even Zack Follett (Worrell's teammate) for weakside ILB. Follett's coverage ability is underrated, he is a little stiff, but he gets the job done. He's also another nasty hitter.
