Parcells has seen enough of zimmy's awful passive & predictable "Occupy & engage" crappy 4-3...

Its 3-4 THIS YEAR folks!

He is taking over, just 2 years too late...

I could see a Spears Merriman/Ware draft and we could get good value in a trade for Glover, then do it...Too often we have kept vets past there prime...

Hartwell or Bell would make us so much tougher!

Lets not forget a TRUE FS, so we can get Roy to being a IMPACT game changing player!...

Carlos Hall-DE from the Titans, a restricted FA. Can be had for a 7th rounder.....that's who I'd like to get.....

I'm convinced Glover is not going anywhere...if we draft Marcus Spears...I think if anyone is gone it will be Ellis...

3-4
LDE Spears
NT Fergi
RDE Glover

4-3
LDE Spears
DT Glover
DT Fergi
DE...Ogbogu and Merriman (if we land Merriman in draft he will start)

This is very nice either way...Spears is solid against run...plays left side and can get ya 7-9 sacks a yr in a 4-3 alignment.

Basically we may be replacing Ellis with a bigger Spears that fits the 3-4 much better.

Now we have a NT that can play both!
We still don't have any 3-4 DEs or LBs. Write off any chance at winning if we switch to a 3-4 base.

Ellis just renewed his contract not that long ago. He isn't going anywhere.

Ferguson's signing actually makes me more excited about possibly staying in the 4-3

In this scenario, we don't actually need a top DE in the draft; only one that can take advantage of the opportunities Glover, Ferguson and Ellis create for him

Someone like Demarcus Ware, Justin Tuck, Matt Roth...Good pass rushers who fit in both 4-3 and 3-4

This signing is excellent. It really opens alot of options for us, for the draft specifically

I'm with Portland Fanatic on this one... I don't think there is anyway that Ellis can play DT in a 3/4. He's way too small. And he's not nearly fast enough to play the pash rushing LB. He's the odd man out. Glover is also a bit small but on the outside I think he could learn to be a two gap defender. As for Ellis renewing his contract, I think he has some trade value that we might look to use on Draft day in the event that BP want's to use a 3/4 base.
