They need to let the coaches start making the new rules. Some of this stuff is starting to get ridiculous.

Its amazing how when Roy made the EXACT SAME TACKLE ON TO i think when he was a rookie while TO was still on the 49ers. Roy made the exact same play but, no broken leg, no penalty. I don't see how the league can make a penalty because somebody gets hurt. Everybody gets injured differently, and the same thing wont hurt everybody...

For sure, and thanks also for the encouragement. For the most part, fans of the Browns are just stoked about having a new regime in town. Not only a new regime, but one with alot of credibility and experience.
I am a huge Bill Parcells fan, and I am telling ya'll .......... Start drinking that Kool-Aid again. He will not have a team play as poorly as the team did last year for a second consecutive year. I look for the Cowboys to give the Iggles a good run for that North Top Spot. Good luck again, and I'll be around!

NFL will become flag football in a few more years. And I understand the need to protect players, but come on now,it's Tackle Football!

yeah, but what would dr. Z know about tackling and technique?
he's only been covering the league for - what? a bazillion years?
roy ain't doing anything new in the annals of pro football. he just seems to do it BETTER than all his predecessors.
this whole "horsecollar-gate" thing is a load of hooey initiated by a bunch of sour grapes and furthered by a bunch of bleeding hearts who would like to see this game reduced to basketball on grass.

The offensive team is now alloed 3 extra balarina skirts. The QB automatically has one that does not count against the 3 total for the offense. Any player in a skirt must be asked, politely, before a defensive player attempts to tackle the player. If the skirt wearings pansy, er player, says no, he must not be molested in any way shape or form.

I have a feeling the Roy will tackle players this way regardless if there is 15 yards tacked on. I mean, it's better than giving up a touchdown..

I agree Catch...15 yards is better than a TD. Not to mention, still makes RB/WR's think twice

or another one a la Brian Dawkins is when the ball is fifteen yards from the nearest receiver on a pass play, just jack up the nearest receiver no matter what and injure him for the rest of his season. That one is called the Ike Hilliard special.
I remember that play cost Dawkins less than the play Darren Woodson was fined for (when Woody KO'd D. Alexander from Seattle in 2002), and Darren was playing the receiver WITH the ball and he got screwed by the NFL... Chicken spit IMHO!!!
I don't believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence
when it steps on a field and be prepared to play a good game... Tom Landry
