And if Canidate will work on ST then that is a little extra.

This all depends on the contract he or his agent may be asking.

Once again it is all speculation at this point.

I just do not see how this would not be a slight upgrade to cason....I could not make a claim at all that Cason is so much better then Canidate...even if canidate may not be a great RB.
When he was playing here at Arizona I thought he had star written all over him. If he gets a step, no one will catch him from behind. I still believe that. He had so many long runs here.

Once he got to the NFL I have been less than impressed. Do I like him more thna Cason? Yes, I am being honest. I do. Do I think he can contribute on Special Teams? Yes, if he hangs on to the ball. He's not exactly had "excitement free" play in the NFL. Too many times the ball has been on the turf.

I'd take him, but I can't say I am really excited about it. Not even if I get a good source for info. If he plays to his potential maybe I change my tune.

You asked how he would help on special teams and so I posted how he could help. I said nothing about other guys who also have kick return ability in their backgrounds. If Canidate comes here I don't know if he will be asked to play on special team he may just come in as more competition as a 3rd down type back. Then again this could be one of many rumors that never happen.

Well if we did get him it is not like he is going to be the next starting RB for the cowboys....but ANY improvement...IS an improvement...not just the stars IMO.

I just talked to a friend who still is in touch with Canidate. He knew nothing about Trung heading to Dallas. He was just released, I doubt there'd be any interest this quickly.

In other words, put no stock in this rumor right now.

Absolutely correct.

IMHO all Trung would do is steal snaps from Bick (who supposedly is looking much better) and Lee. At the end of the day all this probably won't matter much because Julius is taking this league by storm!

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Yes I doubt it would happen anyway.

But it was interesting talking about it.
