If you really are an attorney, I acquisce to your greater knowledge on the subject of slander/intimidation, because I respect that profession. However, being a lawyer means that one of two or more attorney's in any case will lose the argument, and was not convincing enough to win the case -- so excuse me, but I believe I have the right to disagree with that opinion!
[View Full Quote]But one thing is for certain, if one (spoken in third person)you think calling someone a "B" to their face is not grounds for intimidation, it most certainly has been grounds to lose a few teeth if said to the wrong person.

Mixing your legal skills on a message board post isn't exactly what I'd call
very professional, nor is it a good idea. I'm sure there are more than legal professions here.

We can insult him as much as we want. I would insult him to his face. I would have no legal consequences from doing so. But if he reacted physically, then he would be civilly liable.
|
Sure you can insult him all you want -- I agree. But why would an attorney of any caliber (spoken in third person), seek such a childish venture? This dialogue was supposed to be about football, not obscenities. Wouldn't you agree counselor?

I hope he sits out and tries to welch on his contract and demand more. I hope it causes sever problems in the organization. If he does so, it will confirm what a piece of sh*t he is as a person and it will cause problems to the Eagles. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

Isn't that exactly what satan said to his attorney? Guilty of sarcasm!
Good Hunting ...or Tally-Ho! ( Hunt cry "the prey has been sighted") " Tallio, Hoix, Hark, Forward,"
which is a corruption of the French hunter's call. Four hundred years ago the French hunter encouraged his dogs with the musical cry of "Thia-hilaud a qui forheur!" sometimes printed "Tya-hillaut a qui forheur!" From this the English manufactured "Tallio, hoix, hark, forward."

That was a weak attempt at retort.
Yes, I'm a lawyer. And let me be the first to say: your "response" made no sense. This is a message board; this isn't my professional practice. I am here to chat football, and I only brought up my profession because you made an ignorant comment on a message board. You should cut your losses, because the comment directly above is even more ignorant than your prior comment.

Then by all means.....start doing this.
AS: Cowboys ice their own kicker in 19-13 OT loss
“That is one of the luxuries of my position as owner as well as the ultimate decision maker, general manager and president – I can do that and take the losses and come back for more,” Jones said.
God help us...............

I'd be crazy to go head-to-head with an attorney -- I'll take your advice and cut my losses.

Let me get this right ...I make an ignorant football comment and get you to tell me you are a lawyer? Ok, I'll be cutting my loses right about now!

The Eagles will keep T.O. happy -- and that's exactly what they're supposed to do. You'll see what I mean this season.

The more he and McChunky soup make the less the Eagles can pay for other positions (ala The Colts and Manning, Harrison, and James).

Heck I hope TO gets a big raise from the eagles I would love nothing more than to see them eat up as much cap space as possible off this 1 player. Ask for the Moon TO ask for the Moon. LOL.

What do 7 year contract mean? LOL!
God I'm glad this idiot isn't a Cowboy, and I think it says something that a team who needs good football players as bad as the 49ers do gets rid of him.
Owens is a cancer and a idiot, he twists every situation to bring attention upon himself. True team players will not tolerate that crap for long, then they want out.
