While I agree with the above statment, having two first round picks didn't hurt one bit.

Newy came on the San Antonio Sports Talk radio station the day before the draft. I've never really listened to the guy before, but man, I'm a fan of his reporting after listening to the interview. Easy to listen to and a guy who knows his stuff.

I suppose I'm a homer, but I will say in defense of last year that we got a pretty decent running back. It wasn't flashy that we traded down, but at least one pick was a pretty solid hit--& REALLY paid big dividends this year.

Also mentioned for those that wanted to see us take DJ:
We weren't the only team to pass on him. Matt Millen who was a LB passed on him. Fox passed on him also. KC took him, but they think he is more of an offensive coach.
