Go to some Lion boards and see their reactions about Brock. Its not pretty. They claim he was was absolutely horrible.

No on Hakim. What has he done since he left the Rams? Oh yeah, nothing.
Marion is too old.

Agreed. Hakim is a system receiver in my opinion. We don't run the Martz system so his success would be limited. If he is released he is heading back to St. Louis.
Brock was productive for several years but he's too old now.

This ain't the Rams of '99 with Kurt Warner airing it out. Hakim (a) would never be signed by Dallas and (b) would not fit in with the scheme.

Well, the response is definitely negative, but I have to pat myself on the back for bringing up a thread shortly before this happened.
Actually, Millen had some pretty telling comments, that is why I brought it up.
If Hakim was cheap, I might consider him. Glenn's injury history has me concerned although I like the potential of Crayton.
Brock Marion would be some vet guidance for the secondary, but he sure is old.

Possibility if he is cheap?

That would make him 19 yrs old when he entered the draft? No way....age must be a typo??

Sign Hakim. Yes, he's a system WR, but Dallas could use him much the same way St. Louis did - deep routes. Detriot tried to make him a #1 receiver, sending him over the middle and shorter patterns; he got hit a lot, and was subsequently injured repeatedly. Bring him in as the #2, use his speed to clear out zones, and the occasional deep pass. Those are his strengths.
He's a better WR than Q Morgan, and would be here in two years, unlike T Glenn.
Get him. Quick.

my thoughts.... we need a guy who can really stretch the field and open up more underneath stuff for Key et al.
"They say it makes your testicles shrink,'' Bonds said. "I can tell you my testicles are the same size. They haven't shrunk. They're the same and work just the same as they always have."

I agree and to be honest, I really have trouble understanding why this would not be simple.
I thought before the draft and I believe now that if you get a guy who has serious speed to do nothing but run posts and flies, our offense would be almost unstopable. You get the CB to play honest and the Safety to shade the deep WR and KY, along with Witten are going to eat up the hash marks. There is not a third CB in this league that can cover Glenn and no LB, outside of maybe Brooks, that can cover JJ. You throw in a mobile QB and your 30 points a game is reality IMO. All you have to do is be able to pick up the blitz. Now, with Bledsoe, that's a bit more of a job but even still, deep speed that can catch would do wonders for this offense. Right now, nobody in our WR corp sacres anybody. Nobody play's us honest in the passing game because nobody is afraid of anybody running by them. That's a fact.
