Good old Brock Marion...

Random useless fact of the day: most people think Neil O'Donnell only threw 2 picks vs Dallas in SB 30 (to Larry Brown), but he actually threw a 3rd to Brock Marion...on a hail mary at the end of the game.
For some reason, that always pops into my head whenever I think of Brock Marion. I need help.

There is no doubt that if he has anything left in his tank, it is better than anything else we have now.

Absolutely, look at him. He played well in Miami..his cap got too much for the Fins as they started paying their CB's big contracts. So Miami let him go and Detroit signed him. Now Detroit has some younger, cheaper players, so his cap slot is needed. Big deal. He's had some injury problems with his shoulder when he left Dallas and had it in Miami for a time..that maybe a questionmark to checkout.

But he can still play FS. 112 tackles and 3 INTs in all 16 games screams production we could use and durability. he's a tough guy. he did very well in the pass happy AFC East. He wasn't burned when in Miami. Very, very steady.
3 out of the last 4 years Pro Bowl..?
At the right price..I'd look at him hard. He knows the 4-3 defense here and would be a good stop-gap guy for 1-2 years while we groom somebody.
Bring him in. Yes, he's not the guy we knew, but he's not chopped liver. Give him an incentive deal and let him prove he can still play and let him try. Much better alternative to Ty Law or somebody we already have.

I agree man. He may be getting old but he is still a great player. As long as he doesn't ask for alot of money we should consider him. I actually think Keith Davis could be our guy but if he isn't then it would be nice to have Marion around to take over.

Bring in Marion and let him go against Justin Beriault, Lynn Scott and Kieth Davis. The best man starts and the other is the backup. Is that so hard to figure out?
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.
