Lots of new faces
Although I am ecstatic about the draft, and can't wait to see all these guys on the field, the amount of new, and inexperienced starters is a minor concern for me. Anyone else agree with me at all? I'm confident we are going to be very good next year, but this is still an area that we shouldnt overlook.

Yes it is a concern but look at the talent among those young faces mixed with a group of very fine vets as mentors........I see things coming together quicker than we might expect.
Cowboy Fan since 1960.......You young-uns stay outta my yard.

New faces bring energy, passion, and renwed love for the game.To many times at the end of the games the guys gave up, not cause they wanted to but because lack of energy. And there jsut wasnt enough heart on the team. NOw we have been rejuvinated and i beilive a strong contender or NFC crown.

While they may be a little low in experience, they are high on talent, brains and character. Yes it will take a few games for everything to really click. That is cool with me. They will get some help from Ferg, Ellis Glover and the like. It's gonna be great watching these guys just kick it this year and into the future.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

I think we have a very fine nucleus of young talented players and experienced vets that can help these young kids along, esp. on defense...Im very estatic about this upcoming season and its a shame that we have to wait 3 months for camp..

I think the best out of these young players will end up being Spears or Ware, but Burnett's got a good shot and I like Pettiti a lot. But I think when you narrow it down, Spears and Ware appear to be the elite of the draft picks, but hey I guess you never know. But what I predict will happen is Ware will be the incredible pass-rusher that he is expected to be and Spears will end up moving inside at some point in time and replace Glover (I'm not saying when Spears will replace Glover I'm just saying that I predict he someday will).
And yeah, I am incredibly excited to see all of our new young guys get out on the field and play some football.

yesh, you guys are definately on point. I'm thinking the same thing, there's definately alot of good vets on this team, the guys BP felt should still be around. I just thought I'd wanna also bring up the fact that there is going to be alot of guys who haven't played together yet.
On the part of smart players and such, you guys are all right on that. Most of these guys seemed to be doing more than just the bare minimun in college. Ware really impressed me, or what I read about him, not dropping out of school in order to solely focus on the combine, but instead working on the combine while staying in school. Parcells definately picked alot of hits type of players.

I'd rather see good young players rather than old Vinny-type players
