Default Baylor guard Danny Watkins is attracting interest from several NFL teams.

“In my grade 12 year I was 270,” said the 6-foot-4, 312-pound Watkins. “There weren’t too many 270-pound hockey players, so I figured that was getting to be a bit of a pipe dream.”

Watkins will be someone Packers fans want to take note of considering starting left guard Daryn Colledge is an unrestricted free agent and has likely played his final game in Green Bay. The Packers are also in need of a tackle, which Watkins played at Baylor – though he is projected as a guard. The Green Bay connection is already there considering the Butte tie-in and the fact he played with Rodgers younger brother Jordan and has met the Rodgers family – except for Aaron.
