Default Now for the last real concern...

With FS now more or less taken care of, between the Rookie, Davis and the new guy, that just leaves Right Tackle. I am willing to bet that BP will pick up a vet there as well.

Let me preface that:

We are NOT set at FS NOW.

Nors agees with me on this one. We don't exactly have Darren Woodson back there or even Brock Marion for that matter.

I just hope it isn't such a disaster that it hinders the team. I would think that with Newman, Glenn, Henry and Roy, the team could get by with JAG at FS.

There just isn't anyone out there to bring in.

That's the thing. We're still thin talent wise at FS, RT and DT. And if we suffer one major injury.... WR.

We're one offseason from getting virtually all of our lineup holes filled.

I don't know, Michael.

There will be some new holes pop up next year.

I don't think there's a team in the league that is comfortable with all their positions.

We're not set behind a lot of positions. QB - two unknowns, WR - Morgan is a question mark, TE - if Witten or Campbell go down we have nothing, OG - Allen or Rivera go down we have Peterman or Gurode? That's not good depth. The same thing goes for Center as well. About the only positions I feel comfortable with right now are RB and CB where we have good, proven players.

You're right Chief.

I'm purposely ignoring the hole behind center.

NO team, certainly not even the Pats, have good solid talent at all positions.
And NO ONE has really good depth at all positions. Its not like it was in the early 90's; it will probably never be that way again. You do the best you can with what you draft, find or can buy. Right now the Cowboys have pretty solid people at just about every position, and some good backups.
RT - we have some people that are OK- Vollers, Noll maybe. The Rookie has size and strength- we will see if he can do it. That is the last real need position.
Our FS pick up will do ok- if not Davis probably will be ok. Either one will almost CERTAINLY be an upgrade over last year. And THAT is what is important.

every position is not going to be "set"... you have to take sub par or, if your lucky, average players for a few positions sometimes... Salary Cap makes sure of that...
