I was actually trying to make that point to KD yesterday in the Rod Gardner thread that morphed into a Koren Robinson thread, but he wasn't trying to hear it.
He seems to think that if Player A wants to go have a drink, even tho they're in the substance abuse program endorsed by the NFL and NFLPA, that it should be no big deal if he's able to come out on Sun. and play somewhat well.
And then if Player A should happen to get a DUI in the offseason, then the league shouldn't say anything, cuz it's the offseason, not the regular. Not understanding that these guys are subject to the substance abuse policies throughout the whole year regardless of whether they're currently in the program or not.
Somehow he's picked Robinson to champion on this board, but it wouldn't matter which player he chose, because the logic behind is argument is still flawed, IMO.
