Default Dallas Cowboys in the military

True Blue had a thread two years ago on Veterans Day called Cowboy Military Vets:

http://www.truebluefanclub.com/socia...a-cc579f82d504

http:// .com/39m93o7

In that thread the following former Cowboys were identified as military veterans:

Tom Landry
Eddie LeBaron
DD Lewis
Cliff Harris
Chad Hennings

Although America's Sweethearts don't actually serve I'm sure they do a great job supporting the troops as part of the many USO tours they perform. Can anyone think of other Cowboys who served in the military?

I believe Roger Staubach was in Vietnam for a year.

LOL.

I was going to say, while reading the original post, that I couldn't believe you left off Captain America.

One time I posted that the Dallas Cowboys are the only team in NFL history to have ties to WWII (Tom Landry), Korea (Eddie LeBaron), Viet nam (Roger Staubach) and the Persian Gulf (Chad Henning).

DD Lewis and Cliff Harris both lost football time to military commitments, but I do not know much about if either served in a foreign theater of operations.

Happy Father's Day everybody; I just found out Bob Lilly served in the Air National Guard in the 60s. If you google "Bob Lilly" and "Air National Guard" you'll find some interesting pix of him in Germany as published in Stars and Stripes.
