blowing away the nation in receiving yards, number of catches
Jordan White, WR, Western Mich 6 #212
Statistically, Jordan White's final season at Western Michigan University is too much even for the NCAA to ruin.
White's 115 catches are 22 more than any other receiver in college football. His 1,402 yards are 125 more than anyone else.
Even by the NCAA's inaccurate numbers — which don't include White's 12 catches for 119 yards against Michigan, as if they never happened, because the game was called before the end third quarter — White still leads the nation in both categories.
Monday, the sixth-year senior who's projected as a fourth-round draft pick by NFL scouts, was named a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist for the second straight year, making him one of 10 wideouts in the running to be honored as college football's top receiver.
