Lol. No. NFL GMs don't give one single though of drafting Griffin over Luck. Only messageboard jockeys or fans of teams that are bitter about missing out on Luck and trying to soothe themselves by pretending that Griffin is in the same league as Luck.

Griffin will give you a few highlight games, a few games each year with your backup starting after being injured, and heartbreak.

Saying you will draft Luck is NOT a smokescreen. A smokescreen is saying you will do something when you have the intention of doing something differently in hopes no one ahead of you will take the guy you want. Smokescreen is meaningless in the context of a team drafting #1 overall.

Oh... and I hope your craptastic doormat franchise trades the farm for Griffin. He'll hold your franchise back teasing you with talent and being injured. Do it!

Then he is out for this year. What's the difference between signing him now and us drafting Lee? We knew Lee wouldn't be good his rookie season. Look at him now. I'd sign Luck and work with him every day. By the time the season starts he would be ready to step in as starter with full knowledge of the offense. Should he not blow out his knee before then.
