Guess we should list all the OLs or CBs we have failed on and give up there too.
Any prospect, no matter how sure anyone is on him, can still fail. All we can do is keep trying to find good prospects, and hope they perform up to their potential.
I think the point you are missing is that this draft class does not have an elite pass rushing prospect . You refer to combine workouts as the deciding factor , but these guys have a couple of college seasons on tape that shows how they play . Drafting a workout warrior that doesn't have game production to support him , is a sure way to fail .
One pass rusher will not put us over the hump . This is going to be a two or three year process . The smart thing to is draft to the strengths of the draft . This year it just happens to be OG and CB . Next year it could be safeties and DL . If so , that should be the areas that are addressed early .
