Default New Free Agency/Draft Mock SF

Free Agency
Resign:

Tony Fiametta - FB
RFA, Running game improved when he was on the field

Clifton Geathers - DE
ERFA, Coaches like his improvement and play

Jeremy Parnell - OT
ERFA, Houck liked the kid as a swing guy, lets see how Callahan rates him

Cut:
Terrence Newman - CB
Kyle Kosier - OG
David Buehler - K
Kenyon Coleman - DE

Signed:
Carl Nicks LG New Orleans (27)
Don't believe the hype about wanting to stay, he wants to get paid.

Brandon Carr CB Kansas City (26)
Probably the best man cover free agents and necessary to the success of the D in 2012.

Tyvon Branch SS Oakland (25)
Believe he is the reason that Elam was not resigned instead of Sensabaugh, young and huge uprising player, good tackler, adequate cover guy, good leader.

Dan Conner ILB Carolina (26)
Very good ILB and will challenge for spot next to Lee. Good tackler, reads the play well, plays to the whistle, good team leader. Could allow Carter to move to his college position of OLB.

Sammie Lee Hill DT Detroit (25)
Moves to the NT position, gets a good push, can play DT or NT, great height, arm length, and weight for the NT position, plays to the whistle.

Jimmy Clausen QB Carolina
Appears that Carolina will cut him after never activating him during the season for any game. Has an upside with the right team, has game experience, smart player, decent arm, needs the right situation.

Other Roster Moves:
Doug Free Moves from LT to RT
Jay Ratliff Moves from DT to DE
Tyron Smith Moves from RT to LT
Bill Nagy moves from LG to OC

Draft:
RD 1 #27:
Janoris Jenkins CB North Alabama
Jenkins is going to be a shutdown corner if he resolves his off the field issues, i.e. grows up, Dallas willing to trade down and still get Jenkins. New England never hardly trades up but the need for a quality WR forces the move. Dallas receives #27 and #48.

RD 2 #37
Dont'a Hightower OLB/ILB Alabama
Hightower has played DE/OLB/ILB in three years at Alabama. A smart player who plays each position well. Can cover, good tackler, excellent pass rusher. Dallas trades #48 and #82 to Cleveland to move up getting #37 and #118.

RD 2 #45
Brandon Boykin CB Georgia
Maybe a surprise to see Dallas take two CB early but it is a spot where Boykin is the BPA and not only an excellent cover man but a good return man also.

RD 4 #113
Akiem Hicks DE Regina
A player on the rise with great potential as a stud 3-4 DE. Former LSU recuit from junior college that can play DT or DE. Good pass rusher and tackler.

RD 4 #118
Phillip Blake OC Baylor
Is a versatile player who can play OG and RT also, very good center especially on shotgun snaps. Canadian player who is 26, plays with attitude. Good run blocker and downfield blocker, good feet and quickness.

RD 5 #145
Nate Potter OT Boise St
Classic college LT would will be a RT in the pros. Can also play OG. Good agility, plays hard and quick.

RD 6 #175
Marquis Maze WR Alabama
Excellent punt returner with good "getting open" skills at WR, undersized but a game changer. Could make the team as the classic punt and kickoff return guy.

RD 7 #206
Brad Smelley TE/HB/FB Alabama
Played multiple positions at Alabama, has added weight and will most likely be a TE in the pros. Blocks well, reads the defense well, handles blitzes well. Needs improvement on routes. Smart player and rarely drops the ball, good run after catch. Reliable in all phases of the game.

Probably two to three UDFA will take spots.

QB -Romo, McGee, Clausen
RB - Jones, Murray, Tanner
FB - Fiammette
TE - Witten, Phillips, Smelley
WR - Austin, Bryant, Holmes, Radway, Maze
OT - Smith LT, Free RT, Parnell, Potter
OG - Nicks LG, Arkin RG, Costa, Kowalski
OC - Blake, Nagy
ST - Jones P, Bailey K, Ladouceur LS
NT/DT - Hill, Brent, Calloway
DE - Ratliff, Hicks, Lissemore, Geathers, Hatcher
ILB - Lee, Connor, Carter
OLB - Ware, Hightower, Butler, Albright
CB - M. Jenkins RCB, B. Carr LCB, J. Jenkins, Scandrick, Boykin, Butler
S - Branch SS, Sensabaugh FS, Church, McCray
Live for today for yesterday is history and tomorrow may never arise, remember the value of the things is not in the time where they last, but in the intensity with that they happen. Therefore unforgetable moments, inexplicable things and incomparable people exist.
