Default CN:What I'm Hearing, Part Two: Offense Crowding the Top 10?

Whitney Mercilus is a hot name
at the moment.
Here's more of what I've been able to gather through the grapevine. Nobody I spoke to said it outright, but look at these points and see if offensive skill position players might rush the top 10, which would play into Dallas' best-case scenario:

-- I was told Whitney Mercilus is the hot name among the outside linebacker/defensive end prospects. He could land in the top 15, and perhaps go as high as Kansas City at 11 or Seattle at 12.

-- The Jets were named as a possible landing spot for either Melvin Ingram or Courtney Upshaw. The Jets are also high on Mark Barron, which could factor in Dallas' thinking about him.

Mercilus is going top 16... A player with those measurables at a premuim position with 16 sacks in a major conference will not make it too far down the draft.

The more I read about him the less I would mind if he was our pick at 14. Based on BPA not need of course.
