Bunting Final April 26th Mock (Cowboys Pick)
14. Dallas Cowboys: Stanford: OG David DeCastro
With SS Mark Barron off the board, from what we are hearing DeCastro is the number two guy in line on the Dallas draft board.
Sorry shuld be April 26th

What I like about this draft is that, even though DC isn't my preferred option, he is one hell of a consolation pick

Curious how would you honestly feel if the pick was DeCastro ? would we play him at Center or Guard ?

I'm fine with it, I want Cox, Barron and DeCastro in that order. I have Cox muxh higher then Barron but Barron and DeCastro neck for neck.
It's a safe, solid pick, nothing not to like.
I do believe he comes in and plays OG though and OC is not even a consideration unless its forced.

Exactly. I'd be happy with Fletcher, Barron, or DeCastro. Basically, unless they get weird and pick Poe , I will be happy with tonight's outcome.

All these draft gurus are putting out stuff saying, "we're hearing," and all have different information. Either Jerry hired some extra PR people to blow smoke at these "gurus," or they are throwing sh*t on the wall to see what sticks. I'll say it's the latter!

I think they are "hearing" fellow draft gurus because I don't think it's coming from Dallas.

Decastro worries me a little at 14. He's got great feet and he's an excellent pulling guard and pass protector. I just don't know that he's got the power to be a road grader in the running game, especially in short yardage.
If I were to pick a guard that high, he'd better be the second coming of John Hannah.

I think he'll play OC for us if we draft him. Well, we will at least try him out there first.
