Lol, Cobra...
Picture this, one day of Connor and one day of Carter, until the squad grows and a picture settles in. The coaches are going to play who is the best, and what sustains all needs best.
There's no right way to do the wrong thing.
To compete for the playoffs, Dallas has to improve here: Only four sacks against Eli Manning over the past six games!

Yeah, playing behind Jon Beason will do that.

If Connor starts, we go 0-16, easy... if Carter starts, we probably go 20-0...

Conner provides and even better mix, so I like what we have at ILB right now.

Um, what are you talking about? Generally, when someone says a team is in trouble, they're not suggesting the team is going to lose every game. Is that how you define trouble for this team? So if we go 1-15, that's not a troubled team? Seriously, what the hell are you trying to say?

Biggest problem with Carter is the fact that right now him and Lee really fit better at the same position, weakside ILB. Conner is the best fit for the strongside really, and it will be up to the coaching staff to make this work.
I still don't see Carter on the strongside at all, and if we put him there, I think the chances of him winning the job go down big time.
If we want to start Carter, Lee is probably going to have to play strongside, problem is they probably don't want to move Lee cause of his performance last year although it might be best for the team overall.

After all, Orie Lemon had this pick six against a bad team's backups......
When asked whether Jason Garrett is the right head coach for this team: "I don't think there is anyone else that could. I think he is an unbelievable coach. We've responded to him and he has made us better football players, better people. If you watch us I think we play with a certain relentless spirit." --Sean Lee

Carter looked lost in the run game to me.
Couchscout has pointed out that Carter's is good at one thing right now....man to man coverage.
I think Lemon and maybe even Albright are better at diagnosing plays than Carter ( I wish it wasn't true) right now. If Carter wasn't drafted in the 2nd round I am not sure he makes the squad right now given how deep we are at LB.

Connor couldnt cover me.. If he makes this team and starts, good QB will expose him in pass coverage.

I've seen the same thing from Carter that I saw from his gametape at UNC. He had trouble diagnosing the play in a rudimentary Butch Davis defense. Phenomenal athlete, but not a natural football player.

Hey, guys. I found where the guys who used to be freaking out about the interior OL are hiding. They're worrying about Dan Connor for a bit.

And Connor has done little to nothing against the same guys throughout preseason.

This. He will be a nice compliment to Lee until Carter figures thing out. He (Carter) is not ready for full-time duty.
Garrett to players: Make today a great day; go about the business of winning! If you can't keep up then don't step up.
