I guess the OP is the only one allowed to discuss the death of an individual for purpose of releasing ones suffering.....

This thread is classless

Talking retirement....letting the next generation with fresh ideas cause what Jerry is doing now just aint working
What i dread is a very aged Jerry grasping every last bit of attention he can ala al davis

Real problem is there are too many "only after a loss" fans.

I'm not waiting on him to die because life is soooo much more important than a game, but I do hope that he relinquishes the majority of his duties to Stephen at some point, who will in turn bring in a real football mind as GM. This is a more realistic solution. I don't see Jerry carrying all the responsibility that he has now into his later years.
It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.

Almost... Go read "Heart of Darkness" by Conrad. Try it. You may like it.

Then I misinterpreted. I just saw the part about jerry not giving up reins and waiting out father time in the original post and it seemed very "pro jerry death" which isn't cool

Well, Cindy - he played with Jimmy at Arkansas in the mid-sixties.

He's just had a hard life, you know.
