Only two of our offensive starters were first round picks

Only two players on our offense that's starting was drafted in the first round, Dez and Tyron. On defense Ware/Mo/Spencer are the only ones, too. That's 5 of 22. Is that normal?

considering we didn't have a 1st in 09, that's a pretty high success rate. only 2006 with Carpenter was a true bust. Jenkins (08) may not be considered a "starter" but he still plays a big role at CB and FS.

Big deal. In 2008, we had 9 first round picks on our defense. Look where that got us.

Is it normal? Why don't you google the other 31 teams and find out? And what's the difference anyway?

The Patriots had 6 out of their 22 starters Sunday who were first round draft picks. I'd say 5 sounds normal to me, as good drafting takes more than just hitting on your first rounders.

Ah okay. Just doesn't seem good that since we got Romo only 5/9 of our first rounders are still here.

Ironically, you could argue that Dez, one of those 1st round picks, singlehandedly cost us the last game.
