Default FWST: Ravens receivers again expecting to meet the press (Notes)

The Baltimore Ravens are thinking about what they can do about press coverage on their receivers.

Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs played close and tight on the outside, and only Anquan Boldin seemed able to shake free. The Dallas Cowboys like to play the same way with their corners, Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne.

"We have to handle that," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said at his Monday news conference. We talked about that today quite a bit."

Quarterback Joe Flacco completed only 13 of 27 passes last week. Boldin was targeted 10 times, but caught only four passes. Torrey Smith had four targets and three catches against the Chiefs' Brandon Flowers and Stanford Routt.

"Their corners are good; I give them credit," Harbaugh said. "They have two excellent corners, and they played very well. Just like this week. These guys have two excellent corners -- they have four excellent corners. People are willing to match their corners up, and we just need to take advantage of that and make some plays. That's what our guys want to do."
