I'm underwhelmed by Holmgren, but maybe they could hire him to be "game time clock management quality control specialist".

As a personnel guy he is pretty bad. But he is a great coach. Plus from what I understand Holmgren and Jerry Jones are friends. Bring him in as a consultant to help bring along the coaching staff.

You don't need his West Coast Offense expertise, just his knowledge of the game, what to do in certain situations, offense strategy and philosophies. Plus Holmgren coached Brett Favre, and whether we want to admit it or not, Romo's game is similar to Brett's.

As long as Holmgren stays away from the draft room and personnel suggestions, I see no problems with him being a consultant here.

I don't think Holmgren would mind that at all.

But I think a huge opportunity was missed when Dan Reeves would not come here because of that. Jason could have learned a lot from him.
