I thought this episode was better, but everything just seems so exaggerated and drawn out. I'll keep watching but I'm pretty much over it.

I felt the exact same way last night. It was ok....but it's starting to get predictible. I think they brought Merle back with his stump just to add to the story because they are running out of ideas, just my take on it.....

I am feeling the say way about American Horror STory....second season is horrible.

One thing about last night's episode, no one had to ask "Where is Carl?".

1971--1977--1992--1993--1995--????

Would have been funny...as just a joke to the fans, if andrea told Merle that his brother was still alive the last time she saw him and that Carl was in the house.

Really... You think it's getting predictable?

See I think if someone has not read the comic book then the scenes like the ambush of the National Guard unit along with the Gov going into his office to gaze upon his wall of heads would be far from predictable.

I agree. A quick look at the comics shows that they are far from running out of material. I think the surprises about the Governor was good stuff. Who actually expected a room full of heads?

Agree completely. I think I said it not long ago, but reading the comics has I think hurt the show for me. There's no more mystery or intrigue, as I know where everything is headed.

I haven't read the comics, but last night's episode wasn't all that interesting to me.

I could see the Governor as a snake from a mile away. I realize some back story is needed for character development and that it's a long season, but it was a dragging episode. Hopefully this season picks up steam in the second half, a la last season.

Maybe it was a hangover after the Cowboys loss.

That should have been a suprise to everone since they did not ambush a group of National Guardsmen in the Comic. Seems they are actually implementing some of his behavior from "The Rise of the Governor" (a Walking Dead Novel that gives his back-story in case you wanted to know) where he kept his disturbing/brutal side a little more closely guarded.

Truth be told, there are a lot of twists in the show that were not in the Comic. Way more good than bad in my opinion. The story line in general follows the comic "loosely", but nowhere close to exact. Last night's episode was somewhat necessary so peeople could get an understanding of The Governor, Woodberry and Michonne's character.

As someone who didnt read the book, I wouldnt say it is getting predictable. I just think they have to build some background on some of these new characters so people like me know what is going on. It was a bit predictable that something was off with the Gov just because of the fact that they needed some type of new danger to keep the tension going.

I kept waiting for them to go back to the prison, that story is much more interesting to me as well. I am assuming they will tie things together here pretty soon.
