I agree. Gonzalez is a sure thing, Witten will get in eventually. Gates will probably go in ahead of Witten. Not saying he should but that he will.

Thank you for mentioning the Beautiful Harvey Martin. It's a cruel joke he isn't in the HOF.

I think Witten will make it one day to the HOF as far as 1st ballot I guess that depends on who else would be eligible for the HOF 5 years after they retire.

He's not getting in 1st ballot. Shannon Sharpe didn't even get in 1st ballot. I would love for him too but he isn't.

Because I find that line of thinking laughable and weak.
You should talk to Paul Zimmerman then because he says that there IS a conspiracy among the HoF voters to keep Cowboys out of the HoF.

Just because it sounds implausible and you don't want to believe it doesn't mean that it's not true.

One thing the HOF like is longevity.

With his stats and being on one team for many years and possibly breaking the all-time receptions record, he has to be in.

What is key is the number of All Pro selections. Some of the people who choose the all-pros are also the ones who select who goes in the HOF if I'm not mistaken.

Gates will get in also.

He was part of the decade team and almost all of them eventually go into the HOF.

You don't even have to look at Drew vs. Lynn for how big a joke this is. Compare Tony Hill to Lynn Swann:

Unless you're a Dallas Cowboy. Just ask Drew Pearson, Harvey Martin and Cliff Harris they were all on the HoF's All-Decade Team of the 70s.

But there's no conspiracy of course.

It would be a great injustice if Witten does not get voted into the Hall.

As far as former Cowboys, I've always had a soft spot for Cornell Green. A case could be made either way for him, but I think he at least deserves as spot in the ROH.

Maybe they'll get in the Pro-Wrestling HOF along with Pete Rose.
