Default Yahoo! Sports: Dallas Cowboys primed for a run

The touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Dez Bryant as time expired in the third quarter Nov. 11 was a thing of beauty and was exactly the type of connection Dallas Cowboys fans envisioned when the gifted receiver was drafted in 2010.

It also was the beginning of an onslaught by the Cowboys that resulted in a 38-23 much-needed win over the struggling Philadelphia Eagles. A friend dubbed it the "ineptitude bowl" beforehand because both teams had extremely high expectations heading into the season and had underperformed to this point.

But that one play at the end of the third quarter could be exactly what the Cowboys needed to climb back into the playoff hunt.

Well, we did underperform in the first half of the season, because we only scared the Bejesus out of some playoff-bound teams instead of actually winning the games. That was probably the toughest first half schedule of any team in the league. And any one of those plays we got against the Eagles would have won us those games and we'd be looking pretty darn good right now. When was the last time we even won 4 in a row?
