Wonder if the Giants and Ravens played that sunday would NBC have flexed?

Probably not. The Cowboys are still the show. For absolutely no logical reason.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

They can't put the Seahawks-Bears game on NBC because Chicago just played two night games in a row and you rarely see, if ever, a team play three night games in a row. Add to the fact that the Cowboys draw ratings seeing as everyone loves to see them lose and if we beat the Redskins and the Giants lose to Green Bay, it'll be an important game for us.

So you are now telling me the Giants playing the Ravens would not bring in the same ratings as Eagles/cowboys????????

The Cowboys have fans all over the United States and in other countries as well.

They like to watch the Cowboys when they play and thus generate ratings for the network lucky enough to have the game.

Ratings are the lifeblood of TV networks.

Seem pretty logical to me.

But seems like they made the decision too early because what if we lose and then the eagles lose again on top of the giants somehow winning?

Then you have two teams on sunday night who will probably miss the playoffs

Yes that is what we are saying. Pretty common knowledge that the Cowboys are a draw even when they aren't good.

People are getting trolled hard in this topic. Amusing and frustrating at the same time. Sounds about right when it comes to this team and its fans.

It might, but the Cowboys are guaranteed ratings gold in prime time.

For instance, Dallas had the most-watched NFL game last season (Thanksgiving against the Dolphins), which was also the most-watched show of the fall with 31 million viewing.

It certainly doesn't mean Dallas' game against Philadelphia will beat out others that day, but networks know they are guaranteed good ratings with Dallas playing.

I believe all of Dallas' primetime appearances last year rated among the top 25 shows on television.
