There's no doubting that the guy is a genius from a business standpoint. I'd even go so far as to say that he doesn't get the credit he deserves as a football mind. I just don't think that his "football mind" is good enough to put together a contender without some really good "football mind's" helping him out.

Edit: I was a bit surprised to hear that Holmes got cut, I didn't think he was really given the opportunity.

6th wr on the roster rarely ever see the field except on special teams

I am surprised he had a catch at all let alone two.

The guy was raw still and he made the roster primarily on special teams. The cowboys most likely feel like with the wr injuries of ogltree and now Austin being down again we need another player that can play wr in 4& 5 wr sets and can play special teams.

Armstrong is a vet and has produced as a wr in the league.

Therefore Homes gets cut and Armstrong is signed.
