It's a live-action Wall-E. I'm curious what the twist will be. Are the humans the aliens? Infected with something? Is he hallucinating like Moon?

That's exactly what I was thinking too when I first saw the preview.

I came into this thread expecting an epic fantasy with Daedra, swords, and Patrick Stewart.
This looks somewhat interesting, will have to read more about it.

I don't get the Wall-E comparisons, but I've been looking forward to Director Joseph Kosinski's followup to Tron.
If nothing else, it'll be beautiful and fun. I'm also in love with Olga Kurylenko, so that helps.
We need wins, and that's all we need. I don't give a damn about anyone on this roster over wins. I'd trade Ware, Lee and Dez if it meant more wins.

Cruise has made 3 Sci Fi movies. War of the Worlds, Minority Report and now Oblivion. I wouldn't classify War of the Worlds as crap and Minority Report was actually quite good.
Cruise gets a lot of flack, but the guy has WAY more good movies than bad ones and he commits himself to every role. To me, the guy is very watchable.

I agree. He might be a little weird, but he's a good actor. Plus, he does the vast majority of his own stunts. That's kinda cool.

Wall-E meets Matrix.
With way too much shown in the trailer for my taste. Why they give everything away early, I have no idea.
I'm lukewarm on Cruise. He can sometimes do it well, but I wouldn't want to bet on it. And he's sure not the right Jack Reacher.....

I agree to some extent with that statement but IMO it's despite his acting ability. The same way that The Matrix (at least the first one) was a good movie despite Keanu Reeves. I also agree that Cruise does commit to his role but most often than not he plays the character way over the top.

I like Cruise as an actor. As the guy above me stated, he's made a lot more good movies than bad.
Cruise the person tho? ehh..
