IRVING — The Cowboys have sent in a request to the NFL asking for approval to wear stickers on the back of their helmets that will honor practice squad linebacker Jerry Brown.

The Cowboys haven’t received approval from the league yet. The stickers will have either JB or 53 on them. Brown’s uniform number was 53.
