I found the 12.12.12 video on NFL.com!

The 12 12 12 video I saw on inside the nfl! Discuss !
The cowboys prediction is at the end of the video but I would still recommend to watch the video in its entirety.

Interesting, but it didn't say we were going to win it as I thought you brought up.
Thank you for posting this.

It didn't say we were going to the Super Bowl either, but it was interesting. I've always thought of 12 as significant because of Staubach and Super Bowl XII.

Actually, the Cowboys did issue the #12 after Staubach one year, but it didn't last past preseason. I remember being horrified to see another player with that number. They probably did it because they didn't expect the prospect to make the team (which he didn't), but if he had, they would have changed his number. I've searched the Internet trying to find out who it was, but haven't had any luck. It wasn't even very long after Staubach retired. It was probably in about 1981.

I do not believe any numbers are protected during preseason and training camp.

I remember that too, and I think once more. I do know there have been a handful of players who have worn #74 in the preseason too. IIRC, Tex and Jerry had a gentlemen's agreement when the team was sold that those two numbers would never be worn in the regular season even though they don't retire numbers in Dallas.

I remember being shocked when Chris Canty was given #74 in pre-season. No one has worn 22, 8, 12, or 74 in the regular season since Emmitt, Troy, Roger, and Mr. Cowboy retired, and I really doubt anyone will for a long time.

There's nothing to discuss. They did not predict the Cowboys winning the superbowl.

Okay...Pet peeve time.
I really hate when these guys who are supposed to know what they are talking about pronounce Roger's last name as StauBACK and not as StauBOCK.
Just a little thing but nonetheless it irritates me.
