Default Adrian Peterson 106 yards behind Emmitt at same point in career

Rich Eisen ‏@richeisen
Six seasons in, @adrianpeterson is just 106 yards behind Emmitt Smith was after his first 6 seasons.

How many knee issues has he suffered in college and the pros.

He'll never make it to Emmitt's record.

Well, it's impressive but that's as far as l'll go. He is certainly not going to pass Emmitt, that's for sure. Emmitt was remarkably healthy and avoided big hits. AD is a human battering ram.

Interesting. It's all about staying healthy. Peterson seems to take more hits than Emmitt.

I think he's definitely physically superior to emmit smith in just about every way.

With that being said, he'll never get that record

yeah good luck...you would have to go 3,000 yards each season to make it..because you only have about 3-4 more years of running like a mad man...then you slow down in todays nfl

I say he makes it to about 14,000. The way he came back form injury tells me he is not like most players.

Not trying to upset anyone but if I had just one season to win a superbowl I would pick AP over anyone.

This just show me and us what we have forgotten. How great was Emmitt? AP has has a 2000 yd season already and is still behind him.

Still one of my favorites of all time!

Yeah, he's definitely better than Emmitt ever was. Emmitt just rubs me the wrong way for some reason. During the football life episode with Barry Sanders, Emmitt came across kind of immature. He says what he done is never enough that people will always debate him vs Barry. Emmitt, no one is debating you vs Barry. That debate Barry wins 99 out of 100 times........

Not sure how AP is physically superior to Emmitt, Emmitt never went down for any extended period of time.

It's going to take some kind of phenom to ever touch Emmitts record.

Peterson is the man and I'm cheering for the Vikings in the playoffs but he'll be lucky to finish top 5.
