Default PFT: Holmgren would only coach Dallas

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...cing-holmgren/

This article talks about Reid being hired and then goes into Lamonte now focusing on Holmgren.

Quote:
In fact, at one point Ed Werder of ESPN reported that Holmgren would return to coaching only with the Cowboys.
Quote:
Moreover, we can’t get out of our heads Werder’s report that, for Holmgren, it would be the Cowboys and only the Cowboys.

Mike Holmgren would be an instant upgrade at HC and OC.

Don't think it's going to happen, though.

It would have happened already.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

Holmgren would be a lame duck coach who would have no vested interest in the team's long term success. Would probably only stay 2 or 3 years. I smell a guy who wants to come here for one big fat payday before he retires.

No thanks.

17 years as a HC and produced a winner in 14 of them.

Excellent track record working with QBs. Helped develop the careers of Steve Young, Brett Favre and Matt Hasselbeck.

I want him as an OC. Having this coach/cooarnator dual job is just not working for us. In a perfect world we bring in he as a HC and downgrade Red to OC

Hmm, that is not a perfect world, heh.

Red's worst aspect is his horrible OC skills. So....NO!

Record: 2-3 as of 10/15/2012 | Prediction: 7-9 | Final: 8-8 with a Romo choke

Jerry is waiting till Tuesday to see if Brian Kelly wants to coach in the NFL. He is another Jimmy Johnson type coach.
