Henry Melton from Chicago. Would love to have him here as a Defensive end and follow Lovie Smith.

Israel Idonijie is free also.

Oh, and Urlacher is a free agent too. Just saying.

There is always ways to create cap room. Come one now. We hear this every year. Dallas will find money to sign free agents.

If Lovie got the job & they were unable to come to an agreement with Spencer, I am sure Lovie would give Jerry a thumbs up for Melton & try to recruit him & have Ratliff/Melton in the middle at the DT positions, with Hatcher/Lissemore rotating... Just for useless forum talk, if these things were to happen, I am betting they would go DE 1st round in the draft or have Crawford/Wilber play the other DE position.. Just silly talk for now, it'll def be an interesting offseason...

Melton and Ratliff and defensive tackle

Ware and Crawford at Defensive End

Lissemore, Hatcher, Wilber all adding depth. This Brian Price signing is going under the radar right now also. He could compete for a spot. Talent is there, but he's a knucklehead.

I like that defensive line, solid. Add in a draft pick and we have improved a weakness.

A Lovie and Henry Melton homecoming to Texas would be an interesting and potentially positive scenario. I really worry about the dollars we have sunk into press specialist corners within the schemes I've seen them run, however.

Price originally plays in a 4-3, if he stops being a knucklehead he can turn into a player for us

When Lovie was fired, Devin Hester contemplated retirement.

They've had to sit out FA in the past due to cap issues.

We'll settle this with a good dust up.

While creating a massive hole at LB.

Lee and Carter are great players but we are still 1 LB short and then that doesn't cover what happens if Lee or Carter get hurt.

Moving to a 4-3 necessitates making a FA move for a LB or down lineman and also using the r1 pick in that front 7.

No way I'd do that with the offense so thin.
