Tom Landry. He was a George Halas/Vince Lombard/George Allen contemporary.
Jimmy Jornson will not even compare with Bill Parcells as history passes. Parcells did his work with like 4 teams. Johnson never was able to turn Miami around at all.
The realty whether or not we all like it or not, the marriage b/w Jones and Johnson will be one of the greatest in NFL history, It bore 3 SBs and a whole generation of Pro Bowlers and head coaches around the league.
Jerry Jones just isn't the reason we are where we are. It's because Jones has never been able to re-capture the magic of his first marriage with Jimmy.
Hey..it happens. I still like my 1st wife but it was only good for the first 5 years..then poof.
So let's all get over it.
I truly believe at some point we'll be OK..but right now..it's still bitter for all us fans to watch all this.
Let's wait and see, To me, what is important is how the players get thru all this..will they rise to the occasionlike the first year Parcells came and improve..?
Or will they continue to not show enough guts and harmony..?
That's what I want to know. Where are the players on these past two seasons of failure/success and the renewed attitude and commitment to their own careers..?
Because in the end it's about the players doing it. SO far..they haven't.
We'll see.
